Parts explanation(1)
of the bending apparatus




Aluminum chassis


I used the aluminum case for the body (the stand part) of the bending apparatus.
It has the 300-mm width, the 50-mm height, the 200-mm depth, the 1-mm thickness.





Stave


I used the 204-mm width, 243-mm height, 10-mm thickness wood board.





Exothermic part


The nichrome wire is used for the heating element. I put the heating element in the aluminum square lumber and use as the bend bench. The porcelain pipe is used to insulate the nichrome wire and the aluminum square lumber. The brass stick of 2 mm is put in the crack with the tail of the porcelain pipe to make the porcelain pipe and the aluminum square lumber touch.




Exothermic part fixation board


I used the aluminum board to fix the exothermic part. The aluminum square lumber becomes the high temperature of 160°C. The nichrome wire is insulated with the glass fiber tube. However, I inserted the silicon sheet between the aluminum square lumber and the aluminum board for the safety. The silicon sheet is endured to the about 200°C heat.

At first, I used the glass epoxy board for the fixation board. However, it wasn't endured to the high temperature and had been burned. It emits the terrible stench when it is burned. Not to do the use of the glass epoxy is better for the high heat part.





Spacer


I let out lead wire of the nichrome wire to the reverse of the aluminum board. Therefore, the aluminum board and the stave must be separated. I used the spacer of the porcelain pipe.
At first, I used the spacer of the polyoxymethylene(POM). However, at the 160°C temperature, it melted and it had been transformed. The upper limit with the service temperature of POM is about 110°C.




Glass fiber tube


This glass fiber tube is used to insulate the lead wire of the nichrome wire. Because the temperature of the lead wire rises too, the endured glass fiber tube is used for the heat.




Terminal cover


I installed the terminal (the screw) to connect the lead wire of the nichrome wire and the AC cord on the epoxy board. The voltage with the nearness of AC 100 V is applied at this terminal. I guarded the terminal with the epoxy board to prevent from being shocked.




Metallic stud



I used metallic stud to install the terminal cover. Because the temperature rises around this terminal too, it must be used the endured material for the heat.




Temperature control part


The temperature of the exothermic part is adjusted with this knob. It is possible to adjust easily when using the big knob with the size. Because it makes not touch carelessly, the knob with the small size is better. You decide to make which.




LCD thermometer


This is the thermometer to monitor the temperature of the exothermic part.

Pilot lamp (The 2 color LED)


This lamp is installed to monitor the condition of the equipment.
In the temperature, while rising, the red lights up and in the temperature, during the fall, the green lights up.
In the condition which doesn't light up, it is in the condition of the power supply OFF.




Power supply switch


This is the switch which ON/OFF the power supply supply to the exothermic part.
Even if it makes this switch OFF, the power supply is continued to the thermometer. It is to monitor the temperature after stopping the power supply to the exothermic part. Even if the power supply is switched off, the temperature of the exothermic part doesn't fall immediately. The person monitors with the thermometer because it doesn't have the burn.
The power supply of the thermometer stops when it removes the AC cord from the outlet.




AC power cord



I used the cord for 700 W.




Cord protector


When passing the cord through the hole of the aluminum chassis, there is a gravity which the cord and the chassis connect with to rub them being possible. It is protecting with the plastic protector.




Cord supporter


These supporters are used to fix so as not for the cord to become troublesome.




Neon lamp


This lamp is used to display the power supply ON/OFF condition of the nichrome wire.
The neon lamp is doing the structure which arranged the pole which faced the inside of the glass pipe which the neon was enclosed. The neon in the neighborhood of the pole shines with the discharge when the voltage is applied to the pole. Because the neon lamp becomes that it is easy for the electric current to flow when the discharge begins, the resistor (about 100 K-ohm) must be put in series.
This time, the lamp which I used is the type that the resistor is had. This lamp isn't too light but there is no problem in the use as the indicating lamp. It is convenient because it is possible to make light up by AC 100V directly and few flowing electric currents occur.




Cord supporter


This is the supporter to be using for the wiring to the exothermic part.
Originally, it is the one for the house wiring.




Handle


I used the handle for the bag. The handgrip part is made of the plastic.





Clasp tool


I used these metal fittings to fix the cover on the body when not using the equipment. When raising the lever, the wire part is hung on the hook of the cover. Then, it is fixed when lowering the lever.
